Project Overview
AKA came to Cendyn to design a fresh new website that would instantly tell a compelling brand story to any potential resident or guest, with an emphasis on how deeply AKA truly understands the wants and needs of their guests.
The website needed to communicate tranquility through inspired design and an immersive, engaging user experience. AKA wanted website visitors to feel as if they’ve just uncovered a gem they’ve been seeking in their travel planning journey.
As AKA was in a period of rapid growth, with approximately 10 new property openings planned over the next 12-18 months., they also needed the ability to scale the website as needed to accommodate each new destination.
A Collaborative Effort
During this period, AKA was also working with their own branding agency, so our creative team was brought on to provide extensive design consultation and guidance throughout the website redesign process.
Our primary task was to create a captivating and responsive website design that accurately captured the brand’s essence while driving better user engagement across all properties and ensuring multiple pathways to the booking funnel.
Cendyn was also responsible for the development and implementation of the Cendyn CMS.
AKA’s rapid growth required a cohesive, synchronized team plan and commitment from all AKA partners to ensure Cendyn could continue to deliver the project on time, on budget, and at the highest quality level.
The Solution
To address AKA’s unique needs and partnerships, the creative team purposely designed the new home page so that the navigation guide can easily expand as AKA launches new properties.
As both design and industry experts, the Cendyn team worked collaboratively with AKA’s outside brand agency to ensure the approved designs were compelling and hospitality-focused.
From a design-perspective, we had to interpret AKA’s overall brand vision within the scope of a highly-functional responsive site structure that translates seamlessly from desktop to mobile devices.
